Has anyone else had a problem with connecting to livejournal? Last few times I've tried my connection broke down. Or perhaps it's fixed now.
Tomorrow begins Uppsala International Shortfilm festival. My movie will be screened there on wednesday and saturday. All weekend I've been wondering on how it will be recieved. Will the audience giggle? Laugh? Tear down the cinema in rage? Or just sit there and stare blankly at the screen?
You never know what it will be like when strangers watch your movie. I hope they will like it. Most of them are not even in the designated target audience.
Whatever happens, it can't be worse than not screening the movie at all.
When I went boxing earlier this evening, some fucker stole some of my things from my locker. I suspect it happened when i was undressing to get in the shower, because I left my locker open to speak with my friend a bit. There was this lady who was changing right next to me; she had ample opportunity to steal my stuff. I locked up, and went to the shower. I didn't notice that i had been robbed until I began dressing.
Fortunately nothing of consequence was stolen, but it still hurt me a bit. That lady took my favorite cardigan and my Doctor Who-shirt. I really liked them too :<
But at least i can laugh at her. Because she also stole a pair of knickers. Why the fuck did she steal an old pair of knickers???? THEY WEREN'T EVEN IN HER SIZE
I lost 1000 sek in cash, my credit card, driving license and SL-card. Fortunately no withdrawals had been made from my bank account, and my sl-card expired this month anyway. So my only big loss are those 1000 sek. But I'm not that upset; worse things can happen than losing 1000 sek. I'm only annoyed that I lost sl-card, because now I can't use public transport until I have bought a new card.
A. Pick 10 of your favorite movies.
B. Then pick one of your favorite quotes from each movie.
C. Post the quotes in your journal.
D. Have those on your friends list try to guess what the movie is.
E. Bold the quote once it has been correctly identified and place the guesser's user name directly after the quote.
I dunno if I have any fav movies but these are movies I like and remember quotes from.
1. "We have gone on holiday by mistake." Withnail and I, stalkerbunny.
2. "You make Mother Teresa look like a hooker."
3. "Had I not been bound to silence I could have provided proof enough of a broken heart, even for you." Praedestino, Sense and Sensibility.
4. "A cobra? Oh, christ! Never have I seen such a reptile in a first class cabin! Never! Never!"
5. "The chances of finding out what's really going on in the universe are so remote, the only thing to do is hang the sense of it and keep yourself occupied."
6. "I'm on a spontanous holiday,"
7. "THIS IS AN AMBULANCE!" Doctor who The Enemy Within, stalkerbunny.
8. "Oh, hi Mark."
9. "I'm never going to be good enough for you, am I?"
10. "I always wanted to take a visit to the third world."
Should I, or shouldn't I change my icon set?
The woes of a livejournal user!
I'd forgotten how difficult it is to write fic. Most of all romance. Just romance. How do you write romance without the story feeling soapy? Or creepy? How do you write a story about two adults falling in love without them feeling like props in the story?
I wrote the draft of a Leo/Ezio fic the other day, and when I re-read it I thought it was creepy. Must I abolish the idea of the fic entirely and come up with a new idea?? Or should I keep it, but warn people about it's creepyness?
Last few weeks have been hectic. But fun! I briefly went to Finland to meet family there. It was pleasant, but family gatherings are also so terribly excruciating. Especially when members of your family have somewhat racist and sexist ideas. Grr.
Anyway, after my birthday last week, I went to Rome with klockan. And we had the greatest Assassin's creed nerdgasm there. Everywhere we went we recognized places to a certain degree and we could pinpoint exactly were certain scenes from the game took place. So the whole time we were there we spouted lines from the game, laughed whenever we saw a place we recognized, and had a lot of feels. At one point, we jubilated when we found a hotel called Leonardo da Vinci near a street called Ezio. (We also found street Claudia, street Machiavelli and street Volpe). In hindsight I can't help but to laugh at ourselves and how ridiculously overjoyed we were there.
